Level 1

Human-made

No AI touched the words, images, sound or code. A person made every part of it.

Pick this level when

  • You wrote, drew, photographed, recorded or coded it yourself.
  • Tools you used are the ordinary kind: a word processor, a camera, an editor, a spellchecker.
  • Nobody pasted text, images or code from an AI tool, not even a first draft.

Why people use it

Readers ask more and more whether a text or picture came from a person. Artists, writers and small publishers put a human-made badge up to answer before anyone asks. The 88×31 button and the stamp are the favourites on personal sites; the Facts label shows it line by line.

Be strict with yourself

The badge is only worth something if it is true. If you used an AI tool even for a small part, pick AI-assisted: it is still a strong signal, and nobody can catch you out.

Every badge links to the page explaining its level, in the badge's language.

Questions

Can I use the human-made badge if I used AI for research only?

Pick AI-assisted. Research is part of the work, and a reader who learns later that AI was involved will trust the badge less.

Do photo filters count as AI?

Simple filters and colour correction do not. Generative fill, AI background removal or AI upscaling do, which makes the image AI-assisted.
