Short version: the badges are free for everyone, keep the link, and only show a level that is true.
Free use
You may use every Tattletag badge, sticker and footer line on any website, newsletter, app, document or repository, for personal or business use, without paying and without asking.
Keep the link
The embed code puts the badge inside a link to the page that explains its level. Please keep that link. It lets your readers find out what the badge means, and it is how this free service keeps going.
Be truthful
Only show a level that describes how the work was made. The funny badges are jokes about the level, not exceptions to it.
Downloaded files
You may download badge images (SVG) and host them yourself. If you do, please still link them to the level page.
Statements
Text from the statement generator is yours to use and change. Check it against the rules of your school, journal or employer, which take precedence.
No guarantee of compliance
Tattletag provides badges and text, not legal services. Using a badge or a statement does not by itself meet any legal duty to label AI content. We may change or retire badge designs; published badge addresses stay online.

The Tattletag name, parrot and badge designs belong to Tattletag. The badge lettering uses Archivo, Inter and JetBrains Mono under the SIL Open Font License.
